These fun, historic journeys around Hampton and Seabrook Beaches are fully narrated. Each tour covers land and sea and lasts approximately one hour.

As the land portion of your tour begins, you will have the opportunity to view many of the historic home's and land marks that make up Hampton Beach.  Your Captain will deliver an informative narration of  "The Story of Hampton Beach: Past, Present, & Future"; and it's esturary.  Spectacular scenery and wildlife await you as we travel alongside the Atlantic Ocean, making our way through Hampton Beach.  Here you'll view many historic spots such as the "Lady of the Seas" statue, the Isles of Shoals in the distance, the Hampton Shell, and the Hampton Beach Casino.  Then it's back through Hampton Beach heading south to the scenic Hampton-Seabrook estuary, a 'harbor' formed by the confluence of many "drowned" river mouths.  And then...

Prepare for the SPLASHDOWN!!!

We'll drive right into the water and give you a "Mariner's View" of things.  So, be prepared to see parts of our scenic area and its wildlife from a totally different perspective; that of the many fishermen who have used these waters for generations to harvest the sea, and provide the public with the excitement of fishing and whale watching.  This remarkable tidal estuary is still an active commercial area, and you will have a chance to learn some of the techniques used by commercial fishermen, and, depending on the tides, the remarkable ecological insight that only a tidal estuary of this size can provide.  Bring a camera (and binoculars, if you have them) to capture your own memories.

HOW TO FIND US... The Platypus Tours depart from the "Platy Shack" at Hampton State Marina on the south end of Hampton Beach.  (We do not start our tours at the Eastman Docks).  There is a state fee for parking.   See our schedule and fares for tour availability.

DIRECTIONS:
From Hampton Beach go south on Ashworth Ave (1A-south).  Just BEFORE the bridge, turn right (by the Ocean Wok Restaurant) and proceed to the left, parallel to 1A.  (Do not go straight ahead)  We are just beyond the State Parking booth.

From Seabrook Beach go north on 1A and OVER the bridge.  Turn left (by the Ocean Wok Restaurant) and proceed to the left, parallel to 1A.  (Do not go straight ahead)  We are just beyond the State Parking booth.
