The great whales arrive off the New England coast during the summer months as if it were a summer retreat. Off the coast are some of the most productive fishing grounds in the world where the whales find their food.
On one of the trips you can expect to see a Finback whale measuring some 50-70 feet, or a Minke, the smallest of the Baleen whales measuring in at only 15-20 feet. The highlight of couse, is to view the great winged New Englander or as more commonly known, the Humpback whale. The Humpbacks, measuring some 40-60 feet and weighing equally as many tons, are usually the highlight of our trips. Right whales, dolphins, and other species may also occasionally be seen. Sightings are 99% over the past 17 years, and in addition, your trip is guaranteed by a rain check if no sighting is made.
Marine life in all forms such as birds, fish and sharks also add to most trips. Your trip is completely narrated by a variety of experts including naturalists, marine biologists and your captain.
You should bring a camera, sunglasses, sunblock, rubber sole shoes, as well as warm clothing. It is often cooler at sea than on shore.
